Introduction:
Bibimbap is a colorful rice bowl topped with assorted vegetables, lean protein, and a fried egg. It is nutrient-dense, balanced, and excellent for people above 50 who need a variety of vitamins and minerals.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cooked brown rice
  • 1/2 cup spinach (blanched)
  • 1/2 cup bean sprouts
  • 1/2 carrot (julienned)
  • 1/2 zucchini (sliced)
  • 1 fried egg (optional: poached for low cholesterol)
  • 1/4 cup lean beef or tofu (grilled)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)

Preparation:

  1. Arrange vegetables and protein on top of cooked rice.
  2. Drizzle sesame oil and add chili paste.
  3. Top with a fried or poached egg.
  4. Mix everything before eating.
